What is a PSM? A Professional Science Master's is an innovative graduate degree that typically consists of two years of academic training in an emerging or interdisciplinary area of science, mathematics, or technology. The PSM also contains a professional component that may include internships and "cross-training" in business and communications. All have been developed in concert with industry and are designed to dovetail into present and future professional career opportunities. What are the roles of the NPSMA?
Connecting: The NPSMA engages universities, students, and PSM alumni with business, industry, non-profit, and government employers in a collaborative dialogue to improve workforce preparedness of Professional Science Master’s graduates. Supporting: The NPSMA helps develop Professional Science Master’s (PSM) programs by creating a community for exchanging best practices, enhancing recruitment and placement of students, and soliciting employer's input into curriculum development. Facilitating: The NPSMA champions the establishment of the PSM as a degree-of-choice for graduate students in science, mathematics, and technology and expands the network of PSM partners and employers. > FInd out about becoming a member here!
